Pet Rescue UK is a voluntary organisation and completely
self-funded and totally reliant on donations, fundraising etc. They
aspire to find suitable everlasting homes for mistreated and unwanted
animals throughout the UK.
As a responsible rescue organisation they do not promote breeding or the buying and selling of animals. They also do not encourage anyone to buy animals from a pet shop.
Since Pet Rescue UK do not have their own premises as such and are
limited to the amount of animals they can take in, all the animals that
do come into the care of Pet Rescue UK are placed into a foster carers
home where animals are more easily assessed.
All their animals are provided with
veterinary treatment if required and their guiding principles is to
neuter, vaccinate and microchip where applicable and provide a course
of worming and flea treatments if necessary. Pet Rescue UK does not
have animals put to sleep unless they are suffering and there is no
other route to take.
Home visits are mandatory and before any of their animals are placed
into a new home, a home visit will take place, there are forms to sign
and a donation payment required. Donations are fundamental as they need
money to care for all the animals sensibly and this can be very costly.
Should any problems occur after adoption has taken place and the animal
needs to leave their home, they must be returned to Pet Rescue UK, no
exceptions.
Pet Rescue UK was also created to bring attention to all the animals
that are in need of a new home, or transport to get there, or a place
to stay until a new home is found... Pet Rescue UK is there to help
create a link between rescues, fosterers, transport and animals in
need... without those connections, animals miss out on valuable
resources (rescue places, foster homes, even just the transport to get
to them), and many lose their lives every week simply because no-one
knew about them. Pet Rescue UK also helps other rescues. Pet Rescue UK
