Chinese Cresteds come in two types, Hairless and Powderpuff  both of which are born in the same litter.

They are in the Toy category but are big on personality.

Size:   9ins-12ins for bitches  11ins - 13ins for dogs

Weight: varies but should be no more than 12lbs

Colour: any colour or combination

Almond shape eyes

Long slender neck carried high.

Perfect scissor bite in both types but hairless do have less teeth which is permissible.

There are two body types the one being very slender and fine and the "Coby type with heavier bone structure.

Ears should be set low but erect with or without fringing, Drop ears allowed in the powderpuff but not desirable.

Gait should be long and elegant.

Hairless as the name states should have little or no body hair but should have furnishings on the head, 3/4 of the tail and on the feet.

Powderpuff have an undercoat that is covered in a long veil of hair that should be straight and long.

The temperament should be happy lively not snappy or vicious.

The hairless need to in a warm environment in winter and should be protected from the sun in summer with a high factor sun block as they do like  to bask in the sun but lighter colours can burn easily
