A Labradoodle is usually a cross between a labrador and a poodle. Take a look at both parents to understand how big the pup could grow to. Any puppy with standard poodle in the blend could grow very large. Imported australian labradoodles are a combination of
labrador, poodle, cocker spaniel, american spaniel, irish water spaniel and
other breeds infused including the new lines with Irish Wheaten Terrier. The British Labradoodle is slightly different in both temprament and coat.

A Labrador/Poodle cross was
breed by the Guide Dog Association Victoria (“GDAV”) for a near blind
woman in Hawaii whose husband suffered from allergies. One pup from the
first litter, named Sultan proved to have an allergy friendly coat and
was suitable to be a guide dog. It is important that you understand that all labradoodles are NOT necessarily non-shedding or even low shedding. You can still be allergic or have a reaction to Labradoodles.
It could be from the animal's hair, skin, spit or dander. You need to
seek medical advice before contact with a dog if you are concerned
about a possible adverse reaction particulary for children.

Labradoodles come
in 3 sizes (Standard, Medium and Miniature) and a variety of beautiful
colours from cream through to gold and chocolate to a deep true red.
Their coats vary depending on their parentage and generation, some are
the scruffy cheeky hairy kind, whilst higher, multi-generation doodle's
coats have evolved into a curly or silky wool or fleece. Typically the
Labradoodle is kind, intuitive, devoted, good with children and
exceptionally quick and mischievous.
